Summer 2025: What should Candidates be doing?
Below are some basics experiences and events you should be involved with this summer as a Candidate for Confirmation 2026.

Mass Reflections: Why?
Making notes about Mass are a requirement we have for Confirmation for a variety of reasons.
± It develops focus at and devotion to Mass.
± It prepares you to dwell upon the Word of God.
± It teaches you about the Source and Summit of our Faith, the Eucharist.
± It helps you to retain and understand life in the Church.
± It instills in us the importance of a faith community.
± It provides time to build your personal, spiritual growth.
± It gives you a place to begin as you learn more about faith.
We ask for reflections if you are involved from the congregation or in the ministries. The focus of your reflection may change due to your involvement. 20 Masses are required during the preparation time. Fill out a reflection for each Mass you participate in.
Service Hours:
Practicing the Catholic Social Teachings
The opportunity to support others and learn about service is a Catholic practice. It comes directly from the teachings of Christ as well as the historical traditions gain by centuries of faith. The Catholic Social Teachings from our Catechism convict us to put our faith in action by helping and caring for people and the world God has blessed us with.
Confirmation candidates are required to do 25 hours of service at this point. Watch for more on this in the near future. Your Service Hour Report is being updated at this time. Thank you for your patience.

Now is a great time to do some of your service hours. There are plenty of opportunities to serve others.
OPPORTUNITY ONE:
JULY 29TH, 30TH, & 31st
Tues, Wed. Thur.
AFC VBS Camp 2025 Support Team
Age 4-2nd grade, morning program.
Service from 8:00am-12:30pm
Team is needed for the full morning.
(We will have great snacks 4U!)
Support Team is needed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Will do random child support jobs.

AFC CAMP Light 2025 Support Team
Grades 3rd-6th
The Program is 9:00am-3:00pm
Service is from 8:00am-4:00pm
You can work 1/2 a day, or the whole day. There are COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS AT THIS CAMP.
Be ready to set the example.

Are you at Mass?
Being a member of the Catholic Church has some basic expectations. One of them is that you attend weekly Mass. So, are you?
If you are seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation, you should be attending Mass, where ever you might be.
