Confirmation 2026 Preparation

Let Us Pray...

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy. Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I may always be holy. Amen.

Confirmation 2026 is a preparation time for the Sacrament of Confirmation for youth in 11th grade who are members of St. Anne's Parish in Wabasso and St. Catherine's Parish in Redwood Falls.

Confirmation is...

  • the Sacrament that completes Baptism.
  • when the gift of the Holy Spirit is bestowed upon candidates who freely decide to live a life as God’s child.
  • the time that the Holy Spirit of Jesus descends upon those who receive this Sacrament of Initiation.
  • when the soul of a baptized Christian is imprinted with a permanent seal that marks this individual forever as a Christian.
  • when the Holy Spirit is called upon to strengthen the candidate's bond with the Church and its mission.
  • a once in a life-time experience.

Eucharist: Worshiping at the Source & Summit

It’s our receiving the God that loves us, understands us, sees us, consoles us, supports us, that guides us. Our God comes to us in the Eucharist. It is not about a feeling. It is about trusting it. This is what makes it so amazing. Your hunger can be filled right there at the alter. By receiving the Lord, we can find sense and hope. It is God that does it all. Contrary to our culture, God is not there to entertain you. Life with Christ takes effort and we need to go to the table of the Lord to be fed truth and hope.
